Every now and then we may have an older puppy, one who did not find a forever home at 8 weeks, or an older dog, available for the best of families. They will be listed below.

We currently have a 5 month old yellow boy availabe.

DOB: 27 Spetember 2025

Colour: Yellow 💛

Gender: Male

Fully vaccinated, health certified, pedigree papers, and registration, crate and toilter trained, socialised and has basic training.

A beautiful boy with a fantastic temperament, he is the pick of the litter and thus is only available on guardianship. Please see our website page on the Guardian Program.

The Process

All our dogs only go to the best of homes. In order to be considered for one of our older dogs you must complete the Application Questionnaire, which I will send to you upon enquiry. After you have completed the questionnaire we will contact you in order to have a chat over the phone. If you are looking at an older dog you must be willing to come out and meet them in person. In these cases we need to ensure that the home is a good fit, for them and for you, thus a meeting is essential. If we are satisfied that the match is one which is suitable for all parties involved, then we will organise a pick up date, again, you must pick up in person, I will not transport my older dogs as that would be too stressful for them.

All older dogs (over the age of 18 months) will be desexed before going to their new forever home. They will come with their Pedigree certificate (ANKC) and registration which will be changed into the new owners name. They are fully vaccinated with all vaccinations up to date, flea and tick treated, heart-worm treated, and wormed. In addition most of the older dogs will have been DNA tested and hip and elbow scored.

Why are they looking for a home?

Older dogs may be available due to the following reasons:

  • Did not find a forever home at 8 weeks of age.

  • We are looking for a guardian home.

  • The puppy was kept with the intent to enter our breeding program but it was decided that they did not suit the criteria we, as breeders, are looking for. This does not mean there is anything wrong, it simply means they are more suited to a pet home.

  • Our breeding girls are only bred a limited number of times, and as such are often still quite young when they retire from our program. While I would love to keep them all, my priority is ensuring that each dog is able to live as a cherished family member, receiving individual attention, love, and stability.

For this reason, I carefully select exceptional forever homes where they can enjoy many years of unconditional love, security, and companionship as a valued part of the family.

What are the benefits of an older dog?

There are quite a few benefits when getting on older dog:

  • They are trained. With most of our older dogs we will have at the very least (depending on their age) started on the basic commands, having learnt commands like: sit, stay, drop, spot, leave it, etc.).

  • Walk well on a lead (no pulling).

  • They are crate and toilet trained. We do this with all our dogs.

  • They are well socialised with humans and with other animals. We often visit cafes, shops, go for walks, go to parks, walk into town up and down main streets, go to markets, etc.

  • They are no longer in their puppy phase, as such they are calmer and less destructive. No excessive chewing or other destructive behaviour.

  • They are fully vaccinated, wormed, flea and tick treated, etc. all you have to do is maintain the current schedule.
